KIVI symposium: Supplying the Nation, The Challenges of Process Electrification.

KIVI like to announce the lustrum symposium of Technologisch Gezelschap that will take place on the 4th of March and we would like to invite you.
The topic of the symposium will be: “Supplying the Nation, The Challenges of Process Electrification.”

Electrification is something we encounter quite often in our day to day lives. Moving away from fossil fuels towards a more sustainable future is associated with electric cars and induction cookers. But moreover: how does the chemical industry adapt to this future and electrify its plants? What new policies are made to accelerate changes? And of course, what new scientific breakthroughs in research offer promising solutions?

During the symposium, these questions will be discussed. Experts from industry, politics, and research will join us (online) in theater De Veste in Delft to share their views on the challenges of process electrification. We will end the day with a panel discussion with a representative from industry, politics, and research.

The speakers from industry are Marjan van Loon (President-director Shell Nederland), Guido Frenken(COO of ENGIE)and Egbert Klop (managing director of BlueTerra). From research we have our own TU Delft professor Bernard Dam (scientific director of the E-refinery initiative) and Robert Stoner (MIT Energy Initiative). From politics a representative of the Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate Policy will join us. The chairman of the day will be Harm Edens who will also lead the panel discussion.

You can find more information and get your tickets through www.lustrumtg.nl/symposium/. This day is an amazing opportunity to learn more about this field of research, the current developments and to speak with company representatives.
