FROM FRICTION TO FLOW: PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS

FROM FRICTION TO FLOW: PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS

During our next event ‘From Friction to Flow’ - hosted by TNO and Arcadis on 16 April in de Loods (Rijswijk) - we’ll zoom in on main causes for friction within new energy projects. We gain insights on how to remove or deal with these friction points - both in the short and long run - and we’ll discuss creative solutions that may resolve the friction points.

Here are some program highlights:
  • In the morning there are 2 keynote speakers: Pier Stapersma, Director Center for International Energy Policy (CIEP) Andrea Ramirez, Professor of Low Carbon Systems and Technologies and head of department of Chemical Engineering (TU Delft)
  • Also in the morning program: panel ‘Turning friction into action’: 3 solution-oriented pitches concerning several friction points, followed by reflection and discussion.
  • A presentation by Michelle Prins, Program Leader Industry (Natuur en Milieu)
  • The afternoon program starts with a second panel discussion ‘From Insight to Impact’, on how to deal with the future impact of friction points on the energy system.
  • During our afternoon program, you can choose from three interesting joint Focus Group sessions:
    • Hydrogen and Financing the Energy Transition - ‘Align push and pull to unlock green hydrogen’
    • Offshore Energy and Digital Energy - ‘Monitoring critical infrastructure in the North Sea’
    • CCUS and System Integration - ‘Carousel workshop on large-scale renewable carbon transition in the Rotterdam Harbour industrial cluster’
