On January 17th the Steering Committee held its progress meeting at Shell prepare for the next event and activities The next event on March 30th of 2017, with a focus on the impact of Big Data / Industry V4.0 in Oil and Gas industry. Digitalization marks one further a step into a new age of our industry, and a huge stride toward greater networking and efficiency.
Low oil gas prices are an opportunity for innovation to reduce cost, optimizing efficiency and safety

The key success factor is that we need the hole supply chain to develop those benefits for our industry.
The steering committee recognized that we need more operators in the our community who will bring new ideas and special pilot projects for our working groups. We agreed to take action that the steering committee will contact the Oil & Gas operators and associations to join our next event.
Another important development of the Oil and Gas Reinvented Community is the new website of our community which we launch in the coming weeks. All current members will get an email of our current website to register to our new website.

In the area of system integration of offshore energy / Energy transition a lot is happening.
The World Energy Council is organising a conference on 24th of January regarding Offshore Energy which our community also support. The Dutch “Transitiecoalitie” is also very active with related activities and our EU and Dutch governments are very interesting in all activities.
Furthermore, we got very positive feedback from our Young Professionals which joined the Young Professional Working Group at our last event. We currently are busy to organize for the members of this Working Group a new interesting program. More details will follow in our invitation for our upcoming event.
