MEET OUR SPEAKERS: ANDREA RAMIREZ
During 'From Friction to Flow' on 16 April, Andrea Ramirez (Professor of Low Carbon Systems and Technologies and Head of Department of Chemical Engineering TU Delft) will offer a keynote on transition challenges in a strongly connected industry cluster (Port of Rotterdam).
This keynote turns to the practical and technical realities of friction within the energy transition – seen through a practical lens. Andrea Ramirez will focus on the challenges and opportunities within one of Europe’s most complex and interconnected industrial systems: the Port of Rotterdam. It explores how the energy transition unfolds in a highly integrated industrial cluster — where infrastructure, supply chains, and stakeholders are deeply interdependent, and where change in one part of the system has immediate consequences for the entire system. Andrea Ramirez will address the key bottlenecks, system constraints, and coordination challenges that arise in such an environment, while also highlighting pathways forward.
