On November 19, the second major event of ERC 2026 will take place at Jaarbeurs Utrecht. Titled "Going Further Together," this event explores how partnerships drive progress at every stage of development. During the afternoon program there will be several focus group sessions, among which a heat transition session.

With a new Heat Law in place with a publicly oriented route and a minority government at the steering wheel: what do we expect how the heat transition unfolds the coming years? Are municipalities ready to take up their role and have solid heating programmes in place, and, possibly set up a public company to provide the heat to their citizens? Where are we today and what do we need to steam ahead?
