Our Community – Oil & Gas Reinvented – has passed its 5-years milestone last year, and EBN joining 1stJanuary 2019. Good reasons for the Steering Committee to look back and forward. And that is what we have done in an extended setting with colleagues of EBN, Siemens, Shell and TNO on an inspiring location at Katwijk’s beach.

Looking backwards we concluded that our 1,000+ community members fulfills our goals of generating knowledge, networking opportunities and develop programs & applications in our working groups for the energy industry. We have also seen our Community growing beyond Oil & Gas: offshore energy, energy storage, and geothermal energy, – to mention a few topics.

Looking forward we envisage energy integrators crossing bridges between the now sometimes silos or pillars of energy supply/demands and infrastructures for conversion, storage and distribution. Our aims become to stimulate cross border EU activities and fostering integrators’ thinking and acting. Inclusiveness and diversity within our Community and being actively connected with society at large are part of our strategic orientation.

One of topics we have discussed extensively over the last year is our name Oil & Gas Reinvented Community – or OGRC.
We have decided to find a name that will cover our coming 5 years’ ambitions, and we ask your help as our valued Member by voting or even better: suggest an alternative that reflects best in your view.
